today is baby ruth's baptism and she was a real grouch!
(that's Godpa - Ben - in the pic beside me and well, Dan's taking the pic!)

we went for 12.30 mass and fed her before mass. During mass she didn't sleep much and was awake fussing all the way till 3pm (baptism). There were 13 babies/children and it was rather quiet initially. Then Ruth started bawling (she was already very fidgety and all) REALLY LOUDLY. We tried rocking, water and finally stuff her with some milk. By this time, many other babies started crying too. It was quite the havoc la.

Apparently she was just really over-exhausted and over-stimulated. You see, she's been mostly cooped up at home and nowadays, she's kinda 'grown up' a little and started getting interested in surroundings...especially colours and lights. Just yesterday we made a little trip down to anchorpoint and ikea in the evening for awhile. After our dinner at anchorpoint, she woke up and had a ball just staring around at ikea's lights. I say this cuz the moment we got into the (dark) cab, she dropped her eyelids and slept without asking for a feed. No rocking, no coaxing.
