this is where Ruth's hands end up these days. So we are careful to always wash our hands n wipe her hands too. I think fist-eating/thumb-suckiing is really soothing to her. When we bring her out and put her in a stroller, she can sit and suck/eat her hands up to 30 minutes at a time...until something else distracts her.
