Poor baby ruth resorts to sucking her thumb/fingers whenever she can't get the nipple. (maybe cuz mummy is eating or bathing or whatever - come on, mummy needs to do some of her own things too right?)
Which reminds me...how am i supposed to go to the toilet in future if i'm out alone with her!? I mean at home, i put her on the bed/cot/whatever surface and run to the loo and run back. At most she cries. But in public loo, how???
