Pre-Nupped!

Last night, 24-Aug-2006, we did our pre-nuptial enquiry with Fr John-Paul. We had no idea what it entailed and anticipated that it was like a 'first meeting' which would be followed by a couple more meetings and etc. The entire proceedings took 15-minutes. Filling in of our names, addresses, IC numbers, birthdates etc, and answering a couple of questions (like if we were marrying of free-will, how long we've 'dated'/met and etc).

After completing the form, he smiled and said,

"ok, that's done. simple! Now, sign your life away!"

Dan & I looked at each other - like huh? that's all? And that WAS the question we asked. OF which Fr JP assuringly affirmed us,

"yup! That's all!" (smiles)

We were like...Okay....and signed our lives away. Fr JP also said (in response to my comment that we may have to ROM if we faced problems in extending the 'grace period' for couples to produce a marriage cert in purchase of the flat) that all it took was a letter from him to HDB to settle any such issues. Cool.

Now, just waiting for the valuation report of that particular unit. if it's what we're willing to fork out. that's it, mikey's got himself a "new project" in a couple of months' time.
