who's there?

who's there?

baby ruth, that's who!

Baby ruth was delivered on 15 February 2008, 7.22pm. Normal delivery with gas and pethidine. Active labour began on 14 February 2008, 5.30pm and lasted for 24 hours. It was quite bearable and didn't require any pain relief.

Dilation from 3cm to 10cm occured between 5pm till 7pm on 15 February 2008 and that was when i relented and took both the 'laughing gas' and the 'thigh jab'.

Thinking i was gonna be in labour for the next 5 hours (assuming I was dilating 1cm per hour from 5pm), i relented and agreed to have the epidural. Just before the needle was inserted, i stopped them and said i felt the baby bearing down real low - like i wanted to poop.

Lucky for me, they did a quick check and i was fully dilate from 3cm to 10cm in 2 hours! I prayed so hard i never prayed harder.

My eyes were closed from 5pm till after she was delivered and i have breathed so much gas i dun think i could really open my eyes for a good 10-20 minutes after delivery.

My delivery, i felt, was a miracle from God and I will always treasure baby ruth for she is a gift from heaven.
